3.5.5. What documents you will need to get a mortgage
Non resident buyers wishing to get a mortgage through a Spanish bank will need the following:
- Passport
- NIE - Identity Number for Foreigners
- Marital status, age, children etc. (if married, information about both spouses)
- Your last three salary pay slips or pension vouchers
- Annual accounts for the last two fiscal years
- The last tax declaration made in your country of origin (P-60)
- A copy of your tax returns
- Details of the property you want to buy ("Nota Simple")
- Information about any other property you own
- A description of your circumstances, job, other sources of income, investments, debts.
- Information about any other sources of income
Resident buyers wishing to get a mortgage through a Spanish bank will need the following:
- Copy of your residence permit
- NIE - Identity Number for Foreigners
- Marital status, age, children etc. (if married, information about both spouses)
- Your last three salary pay slips or pension vouchers
- Annual accounts for the last two fiscal years (if employer or self-employed)
- Copy of your last tax declaration
- Photocopy of the last IBI bill
- Details of the property you want to buy ("Nota Simple")
- Information about any other property you own
- Information about any other sources of income
- Information about any other debts
